This striking antique Seth Thomas OG weight‑driven regulator clock is a rare survivor from America’s Federal period, showcasing the craftsmanship and patriotic artistry of early 19th‑century timekeeping.
Housed in a hand‑crafted solid wood case, the clock features its original upper clear glass and a stunning reverse‑painted portrait of President Andrew Jackson on the lower door—an iconic decorative element seldom found intact today.
Inside, the mechanical movement retains its original weights, pendulum, and winding arbors. The clock chimes the hour with a warm, resonant tone (see video).
