A rare matched set of three antique German porcelain bowls, each hand-painted with roses and greenery inside and out, and standing on three ornate legs.
• Design: Scalloped rims, floral decoration both interior and exterior, with elegant raised feet.
• Sizes: Large bowl – 7" diameter × 4" tall; Medium – 5.25" × 3.25"; Small – 2.75" × 1.875".
• Markings: Green circular backstamp with “Germany” (export mark, c. 1891–1921). Inner symbol resembles “39” or a factory logo.
• Condition: No cracks or repairs noted. Some patina and wear around rims consistent with age.
• History: German porcelain from this era was highly sought after in the U.S. market. The “Germany” mark was mandated for export after 1891, and by 1921 most marks shifted to “Made in Germany.”
This places the bowls firmly in the late Victorian to early Art Nouveau period. Their tripod-footed form is less common, making this set especially collectible.
A beautiful addition for collectors of antique German porcelain, or as a decorative centerpiece set with authentic turn-of-the-century charm.
