This rare commemorative Staffordshire “bowl” plate celebrates Myles Standish, the famed Plymouth Colony military leader.

Rendered in classic flow blue and white transferware, the central scene depicts the Standish Monument flanked by portraits and heraldic crests, with additional vignettes around the border illustrating key moments from his life.

The back bears the top stamp “A.S. Burbank, Plymouth, Mass,” the Staffordshire England mark with the R&M Co logo for Rowland & Marsellus, and “Copyright 1905 by A.S. Burbank.”

Measures approximately 10″ in diameter with a rolled edge and shallow well.

In excellent vintage condition, free of chips or repairs, with only minimal crazing consistent with its 1905 production.

A standout historical collectible ready to display or gift to any Americana enthusiast.

Myles Standish (c. 1584 – October 3, 1656) was an English military officer and early American colonist. He was hired by the Pilgrims as military adviser for the Plymouth Colony and sailed with them aboard the Mayflower in 1620 to establish what became the first permanent English settlement in New England.
